Meditation and Philosophy evenings with Martine Burgy
Time: 19:00 to 20:30
In case your answer to the question “do you meditate?” goes something like this, “yes, I know I should but ….” Or you simply say “Meditation? Oh that’s nothing for me, my mind is too active” then the last Wednesday evening of every month is a great opportunity to help you get into a regular practice and to learn to understand the nature of your restless mind and slowly begin to be able to calm it down.
In addition to meditating together we will also discuss one aspect around the theme of meditation. There will be time for questions and answers as well as sharing your own experiences.
You don’t need any prior experience. These evenings are also open for absolute beginners. All of you who are interested in meditation are warmly welcome. The aim is to help you build up a regular meditation practice
“Perhaps it is more correct to say that yoga found me and not the other way around. This happened in autumn 2007. I knew absolutely nothing about yoga save for the fact that it had something to do with physical postures and that it was good for your back. I also realised that even those people who practice yoga don’t really have much knowledge of this ancient practice and its philosophy. So I began to read and study texts and found myself completely sucked into this immense field of knowledge. I had found “my thing”!
Finally my path led me to India to a monk, Swami Chandrasekharanand Saraswati (Samiji) who taught and guided me until I too was able to actually experience firsthand what some of the scriptures were writing about. I was also blessed to be further supported and guided by Petra Sonnleitner-Angerer.
