I am passionate about working with children, Yoga, literature, and the arts. My experience as a mother and former primary school teacher allows me to tune into children and recognize their needs quickly.
In my classes with children we explore Yoga with fun, creativity, imagination, storytelling, acting, and arts. I am an author (pen name Dalia Lane) of a series of philosophical fairytales that are designed to help children and parents to find inner peace and harmony through magical imagery and visualizations. I use elements from my books in my yoga classes. It is really a pleasure for me to link the arts with the natural creative genius of children, and to see them grow and expand their own potential. It's the most rewarding job in the world.
My journey with Yoga began in 2002 when I first tried asanas as means to strengthen and relieve my body from typical stresses of the hectic corporate world. Later I traveled around India and Asia to learn meditation and yoga philosophy, practiced yoga with many teachers all over the world, and gradually became a missionary for mindfulness and meditation for children.
I am a certified Yoga teacher for children (Groovy Kids Yoga TT with Greville Henwood, USA, 2017); I have completed my Yoga Alliance RYT-200 TT in 2018 in Switzerland at PilateSwiss and teach visceral Yoga approach to teens and adults.
My further education includes a BA in Primary Education, MA in Linguistics and English Literature as well as an Art School Diploma.
I was born in the former Soviet Union in a region that is now Ukraine. I moved to Switzerland in 2000, and I speak Russian, Ukrainian, English, German, and French.
